A hearty welcome to all of you.2) The ISBA ”Lilly”
This year's ”ISBA Lilly” is awarded to our American colleague Robert Gover.
During the year, Robert has written several articles to the delight of his colleagues. He has even submitted an entire book which can be read free of charge. His contributions are available in the Member's Area on the ISBA web site: www.businessastrologers.com.
Furthermore, Robert has enthusiastically proof-read the ISBA book, which will be published as an e-book one of these days. Thanks for your help, Robert, and congratulations with the award.
For your information, Robert Gover will lecture on the 5th ISBA congress in London, November 2003.3) 4th ISBA Congress, London, November – 2002
For the second year, the beautiful old traditional Park Lane Hotel on Piccadilly in London set the stage for the annual ISBA Congress on November 29th – December 1st 2002.
Apart from the professional contents, it is always wonderful to meet the ISBA members that you may have communicated with for several years by e-mail. Nothing can change the fact that personal contact is far more fulfilling than the more impersonal Internet.
This was the fourth time we held the congress, and 16 nations were represented - very impressive for such a comparatively small organization such as ours.
However, we all missed our membership director Barbara May, who was too ill to participate. We look so much forward to seeing you next year, Barbara!

As was also the case with the previous congresses, people mingled and met in smaller or larger groups. Some preferred the museums, others wanted to shop in marvelous London, and others again met for a cosy dinner in one of the innumerable restaurants of London.
At the congress itself, all lecturers generously presented their work - within research, financial astrology, Vedic astrology and to a lesser degree business astrology. The only lecturer on the last subject was our Russian colleague Vladimir Gorbatsevich.
Financial astrology is still the dominant subject in connection with astrology and businesses. There is an increasing interest in business astrology, and at the next congress in 2003, 4 lecturers will deal with this subject.
Happily, our work is also experiencing growing interest from the media. No less than 6 journalists, including a television crew, was present. We were actually able to create out own little press lounge. The entire first day of the congress was filmed, and spots from this will be shown on Danish television in February.

Personally, I am already looking forward to the 5th ISBA Congress in London in 2003. It will also be held at the Park Lane Hotel on Piccadilly - make a note of the dates in your calendar: November 7th and 8th. 4) Data from Michael Munkasey
To the many members who are constantly on the lookout for data: Michael Munkasey has contributed an extensive collection of American companies and first trade charts, which is now available in the Member's area of our web site. Thank you, Michael!5) Vladimir Gorbatsevich – Astrology of Groups
Vladimir Gorbatsevich, who lectured at the above-mentioned ISBA Congress has put his very interesting lecture on our web site. The article is called Astrology of Groups.
Thank you, Vladimir!6) Research News from Nick Campion: Bath Spa Centre

Sometimes there are business books that are actually worth taking the time to read. As Astrologers it is really fun to read them using the chart of the company. Mr. Gerstner did not give us his birthday but we do have the birthdata for IBM.
Who Says Elephants Can't Dance? by Louis V Gerstner,Jr. Inside IBM's Historic Turnaround .
Excellent book just as every reviewer says. It is a compelling read and really does give instructions on leadership that anyone can use. I read it using the horoscope of Incorporation of IBM, the date for those of you with astrology programs Jun 15, 1911 12:00 pm Albany NY. and Feb 14, 1924 10:00 am NYNY for the First Trade.

On November 6th, 07:53 am GMT+1, 56'02 N 12'37E I gave birth to my daughter, Andrea. Very pretty and very fast - the birth took only 33 minutes! Nice short labor…. She's a double Scorpio, like myself, and she also has her Sun in the 12th house and Jupiter in Leo in the 9th house, like myself. And the Moon in the first house like her big brother (soon 3 years old). As any proud mother I absolutely have to include a picture, and Karen tells me to write that everyone congratulates me and my family. J
9) African swindlers
All of us, we believe, have for the past weeks received loads of correspondance from Africa offering all sorts of cooperation of a financial character. These fraudulent letters have now attacked the list of e-mail addresses on the ISBA web site.
We wish to warn you against entering into any sort of correspondance with people of this type.

To all of our members: Merry Christmas and a Happy and joyful New Year.
Best wishes,
Karen & Hannah
