1) Invitation for ARC meeting at UAC
You are cordially invited to join astrologers from more than 49 coun-tries as they share their
hopes and dreams, problems and solutions at the ARC meeting July l8, 2002, at 2pm, UAC, the United
Astrology Con-gress; July l8-22, Orlando Florida, United States.
What is ARC?
ARC, the Astrologers Registration and Communication, is a loosely
structured, non-hierarchical network that facilitates the exchange of ideas and information among
astrologers globally. We put aside our differences, not out of the illusion they have been resolved,
but because we have a common desire: to serve humanity, to help each other, and to continue the
great tradition of astrology.
The Goals of ARC:
1. To create a space at international conferences where astrologers from
every country can meet each other in a friendly, inclusive, environment.
2. To report the activities and problems faced by astrologers throughout the world.
3. To exchange newsletters, books, speakers, and ideas.
Who Is Involved With ARC?
ARC is composed of individuals, called Delegates, who represent all
astrologers within each country.
YOU CAN BE A DELEGATE!
1. Are you an astrologer connected to an astrological organization or do you known what's going
on with astrologer where you live?
2. Can you represent all of the astrologers in your country without
prejudice or favor?
3. Are you are willing to write a one page summary about the state of
astrology in your country? The report should include the approximate number of astrologers, schools,
organizations; and conferences;information about publishers and books; number and types of astrological
magazines and periodicals; legal status of astrology; problems and solutions; media attention;
and note-worthy achievements.
If You Answered Yes To All Of The Above, You Qualify As An ARC Delegate!
COME TO UAC!
In these stormy economic times and with the exchange being what it is, we know how costly and
difficult it is to come to America and we want to offer you a very special discount. If you can
get to Florida, you can attend the full conference for $150. This is less than half the price
of the full conference and includes over 250 classes, more than l00 speakers, the Saturday dance,
and the gala Regulus banquet ($45.00), a great price. A fabulous conference!
Add Your Light To The Rainbow Bridge UAC, the United Astrology Congress. Thursday, July 18, 2002,
2pm, Orlando, Florida.
Sincerely,
Angel Thompson (AngelThmsn@aol.com) Branka Stamenkovic (self@net.yu)

in your country as possible. Thank you.
2) New book " Fin d´un monde et psyché du futur" (or End of a world and
psychism of the future).
Our French member Patrick Jarnouen de Villartag, has informed us of his
interesting new book, which has been available from the FNAC bookshops since March 2002, published
by JMG. Patrick has enclosed a description of this book - thanks, Patrick!
It's not a new idea to say that mankind is crossing a deep crisis of
civilization, and even to suggest that the actual phasis could be one of the most dangerous of
its history. Nevertheless, and this is new, the author of the book - P.J. de Villartay - shows
that the essential reason of such a disorder comes of the out-of-date representation of the human
being given by the sciences. And it is so, because our manner of thinking (hyperationalism and
old logic) belongs to the past.
But, if we understand that our psychobiological structure - probably
inscribed in the human DNA - is mainly connected to a structure of cosmic
datas, huge intelligence of specific energies, we could realize in ourselves a new and efficient
logic which could be called "translogic". This is the purpose of the great science of
the cycles - usually called astrology - to stimulate mankind, so that to get out of the crisis
and build a world of harmony. It would be so, because harmony would result of the cooperation
between human consciousness and cosmic intelligence.
3) 4) Members Corner & Tutorial.
We welcomed eight (8) new members to ISBA in the month of May, including our very first member
from Puerto Rico! Please join me in welcoming: Ria Drost - associate - The Netherlands; Cathy
Coleman - professional - a Kepler Auction Win who is also Kepler's new president; Patrick Jarnouen
de Villartag - associate - France; Brain Schmitz - student - USA; Hector Toti - supporting - Puerto
Rico; Heelen Hupkins - associate - The Netherlands; Yannis Kostovassilis - associate - Greece;
and Lone Toft Christensen - associate - Denmark. A warm welcome to all of you!
A reminder: we are now offering the dues menu in dollars as well as euros for the convenience
of our European members.
I've had questions from new as well as existing members about how to learn more about business/financial
astrology. After thinking about it, the natural response with all the talent we have within our
membership, is that we could offer those who have questions tutorials covering their specific
questions. I contacted Karen about this and she said this is exactly what ISBA is all about: sharing
our knowledge with others. I volunteered, but this cannot work without the support of other members.
What do you think? Because this would be done online, we might have the seed idea for a book on
how to get some seasoning as a business/financial astrologer. Maybe Kaye's e-books project is
the way to go if we can launch this program? Your comments & suggests are VERY welcome! Let's
hear from you, okay?
In Oneness,
barbara may
5) Kaye Shinker - e-books
Hi folks, www.astrocollege.com has been working very hard for the past few months. We have the
facility to publish and distribute E-books. This is a case of necessity is the mother of invention.Teaching
in an online classroom in real time means it is difficult to distribute a handout or draw a chart
on a chalkboard. I wanted the student´s charts of the companies we discussed to have the
same rising sign. Also it really wasn´wasn't practical to present a lecture during class
time. Students have lots of questions.
At first I posted the lectures in the student library until I realized that the students needed
hard copies of the lecture. They needed a textbook to highlight and do gear. I tried snail mail.
It was rather expensive and time consuming to send their lesson material to places like the Philippines,
Europe and South Africa. My classes in Financial Astrology required a facility for the students
to download their lessons. My solution was to write their textbooks as E-books and sell them at
the website´s Bookstore.
If you would like to check it out, go to the www.astrocollege.com. You may download my Textbooks,
Mike Munkasey´s books and a growing list of other material. It doesn't´t matter where
you live or your relationship with your local post office, all you have to do is pay for the download
with a credit card and then print the whole book or just the pages you find interesting.
The Online College determined it was a good idea to add E-Books to its
Bookstore. The school earns money and so does the author. We all avoid the delays of snail mail.
Sounds pretty good; especially if you write about Financial Astrology, a very technical obscure
topic with a limited
audience.
If you are an author, this is how it works. First you write a book
(Financial Astrology is a good topic ) on your computer. Second step, you
write me a note and ask if The Online College of Astrology would like to
distribute it from the web site. Third step, we send you a contract. Fourth step, you load it
into Adobe PDF. (I pay an editor to do that for me. She also corrects my spelling.) Fifth step,
we all work hard to sell as many copies as possible.
The advantage of our bookstore for authors of Financial Astrology books is that we have continuing
classes on the topic and students who are constantly looking for new material to read.

6) Kaye Shinker - link
We have received this link from Kaye Shinker. Thanks, Kaye.
Maybe ISBA could use ISAR's survey http://www.perennialsurvey.com/form.cgi?server=m1&number=1370
to ask some questions of our members for example: Does a name change for a company have any effect
on the company chart?

Once again, Harald Seeberger has contributed data to the Members's
Area/Discussion Forum. The data concerns NTL and other telecommunications bankruptcies.
Thanks, Harald!
8) Congress fee
Because of Mercury being retrograde until June 8th, we have decided to
prolong the deadline for low fee registration for the November congress. The deadline is now July
2002. Still time to register and make use of the price reduction!
9) Amanda Williams - competition
Amanda Williams' competition is now completed. Thank you very much, Amanda! If you would like
to see the answers to the quiz, e-mail Amanda using this address: marzany@hotmail.com
10) "Hidden recipients"
As the number of ISBA members is increasing, some members have asked that we don't send out the
newsletters with open e-mail addresses. This wish will be accommodated - particularly since it
is always possible to contact felllow members through the web site:
www.businessastrologers.com
You will be able to find e-mail addresses for all members, and let us use
this opportunity to remind you to keep us posted of any changes in your
e-mail address, so we can update the list. This list is used by potential
clients and journalists as well as your fellow ISBA members.
Best wishes,
Karen & Hannah
