1) MEMBERS CORNER
Last month we welcomed our very first from Thailand, THEODOR SCHUPBACH, who is a professional
member! Theodor, please know you are warmly welcomed to our ISBA family!
Today I've been busy with end of the year "housekeeping" in our membership file. Sometimes
I have to send out 2nd or even Final Notices to members who don't pay their dues as promptly as
most of you do. I also check spelling and userids & passwords. I also bill for dues at the
beginning of each month. Everything now appears to be in order, and I'll know for sure after I
hear back from Karen, Susan and Michael. At the first of each month I send an attached file to
them of our current membership. A part of how ISBA works day-to-day.
We wish one and all a joyous holiday season, and a very Happy New Year!
In Oneness,
Barbara May
2) ISBA – LILLY
In 2003, the ISBA – Lilly has been presented to Paul Nipperess, Australia for his diligent
effort in connection with selling the ISBA book (which was published last year as an e-book).
Paul has scored top marks on this subject and has thus helped broaden the general awareness of
financial astrology and business as well as promoting the name of ISBA.
Thank you Paul, for your efforts, and congratulations!
3) REQUEST FROM FINANCIAL ASTROLOGERS IN BRAZIL
ASTROLUZ HOLISTIC UNIVERSITY
Respectable Colleagues, greetings!
I am the principal of Astroluz Holistic University, São Paulo, Brazil. We are in the process
of gathering some financial institutions for the creation and development of a "Investments
Wallet", from actions to exchange, using astrology as a tool of orientation and for decision
findings.
We’d like to ask our colleagues, if they know of any banks or brokers that use astrologers,
and have made it known to the public. And if such companies do exist, please give us some examples,
with the name of the institution, and the type of operations they have accomplished.
We are at your disposition if you require more information.
Pedro Luz
Principal

7) ISBA: LOOKING BACK AND LOOKING FORWARD
In March 2004 ISBA celebrates its seventh birthday. To us, who have been there from the beginning,
it is difficult to understand that so much time has passed already. But time goes by quickly,
when you are in good company. We now boast members from no less than 34 countries worldwide, which
has given us all the possibility of making contacts with colleagues interested in the same subjects
as ourselves. Business astrology and financial astrology are niche areas, and if you are an astrologer,
like myself, from a small country such as Denmark, it is difficult to find someone to discuss
the subject with. And, no matter what your profession is, discussions, conversations and the exchange
of knowledge is most important if you aim to be inspired and to increase you knowledge.
Apart from the close cooperation and the exchange of experiences at our congresses, and the publication
of ” The ISBA Book on Business and Financial Astrology”, (written by 12 ISBA members
from 6 different countries), ISBA has also learnt more about negotiating the public as an astrological
society.
We have been lucky to receive very positive media coverage in many countries, particularly Europe
and the USA.
But since ISBA was established with a founding chart structure almost calling out for a transiting
Pluto – in many situations, such as challenging aspects to the Ascendant, Venus, Mercury
and the Sun, just to mention a few - we have of course also had many weird experiences, not least
from the so-called Skeptics. One could ask why we didn't find another date to establish ISBA,
since the idea chart was so challenged.
This was ardently discussed among the board members during the first year of ISBA, with both pro
and con arguments. The result was that we nevertheless kept the original chart - given to us by
the Universe. ISBA's data can be found on our web site: www.businessastrologers.com
And happily, we have held on, despite the challenges. Even more cause for joy: looking at 2004,
we have reached a couple of years that are much less challenging, astrologically speaking, and
where we, as the year passes, will come up with many new ideas for developing our organization.
Ideas and suggestions for improvement will be greeted with gratitude!
Hoping that you have all benefited from your membership, we send you our very best wishes for
Christmas and a joyful New Year.
We furthermore want to thank Barbara May ( membership director ), Susan Jensen ( treasurer ) and
Michael Lund Hansen ( webmaster ) for their fine and highly valued work during 2003.
Also a big Thank You to Mary Downing for her support and advice in connection with attacked from
Skeptics worldwide.
Best wishes,
Karen & Hannah
