The Task Ahead: More Study and Refinement
3) Paul Nipperess, Australia. Lilly Award reply
ISBA Lilly Award:Sometimes it takes a jolt, like this award was to me, for us to
appreciate the works of many
great astrologers of the past ... and William Lilly was one of them, making some major contributions
to modern astrology, along the way.
Lilly (1602-1681) was known for his translations of astrology books, then written
in Latin, to a
much wider english-speaking audience. In 1647, his "Christian Astrology" or "Introduction
to Astrology" was published, despite the ravages
of the plague, in his own household, in that year.It still remains a valuable reference work for
astrologers, today.Forecasts for the Great Fire of London in 1666 and the plague a year earlier,
made Lilly a
household name in England, among all classes of people. King Charles I consulted Lilly, on a few
occasions, but unfortunately the monarch did not follow Lilly's advice and he suffered, as a result. Not
everybody agreed with Lilly's mundane analysis and he was summoned to give evidence before the
British parliament, on more than one occassion. Each explanation seemed to satisfy the government
of the day, as he was cleared of any wrongdoing...... so, the skeptics were making their presence
felt, even in those days.-----As we tread in the footsteps of great astrologers, like William
Lilly, we can only feel humbled by their achievements, gained in deplorable conditions. If our
goal, is to promote business and financial astrology on a global scale, then we can learn from
the past works of many dedicated astrologers.-----Ancient-through-to-modern astrologers all have
their own slant on the astrocharts and how they
should be constructed and interpreted.Druids, Pythagoreans, Chaldeans, Sumerians, Arabs, Greek,
Indian and other ancient cultures all had close cultural ties to astrology, but many of these
teaching would be lost in the "Dark Ages".Religious groups and political power brokers
banned astrology books in some coutries, due to the threat
they posed to their power base.Ten Christian crusades mounted over a period of about 600 years
took its toll on astrology, as did
other campaigns to stop "anti-Christian behaviour."-----From the end of the middle ages
forward, astrologers like Tycho Brahe, Jerome Cardan, John Napier, John
Kepler, Francis Bacon, John Dee, John Flamsteed and William Lilly all helped to revive astrology,
lost
in the preceding centuries.Their work paved the way for like Crawson Craniker, Hubert Johnstone,Michael
Peter Jarris, Philip Widmer
and other astrologers of the 18th century.By the time, the "modern astrologers" like
Sepharial, G.F.Chambers, C.E.O Carter, Alan Leo and Max Heindel
came on the scene in the late 1800s-early 1900s, a global revival of astrology, was already well
established.-----Sadly, during the 20th century, we have seen the erosion and degradation of true,
PRACTICAL astrology,
by the "sun sign" astrologers. These parasites have turned their useless banter, into
an artform, across
all means of media, from the newspapers, magazines and radio to online websites and auction sites.-----If
we are to develop business and financial astrology to be more acceptable to end-users worldwide,
then we
must be able to demonstrate its accuracy and validity, as a management tool, in all aspects of
business, today. For example, we can now show that by using orbs of just ONE degree, we can produce
better astroanalysis
for traders, in many markets.Other specialised fields have also developed, using astrology in
personnel and career selection, as well
as, advertising, market timing for events and company promotions and more.Competing with hi-tech
modern solutions may actually, give us an edge, as can often be a part of the overall
solution, at a relatively low cost, compared to the rest of the package.Rather than offering astrology
as a total business solution on its own, maybe we should be lining up,
alongside other "mini-solutions", in a number of business packages...... just a thought,
that's all.-----In summary, great astrologers like William Lilly, may have taken us into a new
era of interest in
astrology, but for that public awareness and growth to continue, then we must also find
the same DISCIPLINE and perserverance, that those same astrologers showed to us.Over the next
couple of years, my own work will reveal coded messages contained in the bible,
that prove without any doubt, that simple maths and planetary geometry were used to hide VERY
ACCURATE astrological forecasts, within the pages of the bible and other old texts.Imagine, if
the bible is really a SHORTHAND version of several astrological grand plans,
for various aspects in the development of mankind, today. It can be shown, that we can also use
the same information, for better market-timing of our
trade entires and exits, in the modern marketplace, today. With such strong proof available, many
skeptics, will be forced to capitulate, totally and the
promotion of financial and business astrology will be made a whole lot easier for us, too.
Many thanks again, to Karen and Hannah for their untiring and continuuing efforts
... they surely deserve a Lilly Award, every day.
