We have placed 2 new articles in the Members area this month, and we think they will interest you very much. The contributors are Maarit Laurento, Finland: ”Some ideas of business astrology “ and Robert Gover, We thank both authors warmly!6) Congress
A small reminder: If you are planning on participating in the 2005 astrological event of the year, the ISBA Congress in Amsterdam, May 2005, you can participate at the discount rate if you register and pay before the end of 2004.
We have sent the congress agenda earlier this year, and to our mind it is enchantingly interesting – no matter if your main interest is business astrology or financial astrology. The subject of mundane astrology is, of course, also included, as we all know that global finances influence the individual company.
If the agenda is no longer in your mailbox, you can always read it on the ISBA web:
www.businessastrologers.com – What is New?And we will mail it once again in the beginning of December.
Best wishes,Karen & Hannah

Workshop STEP 3
Vladimir Gorbatceivich

An interpretation of an AC as a whole. Here is the MAIN IDEA of an interpretation of any AC:ALL ASTROLOGICAL RULES FOR NATAL CHARTS ARE VALID FOR AC TOO !

First of all, a general view of a chart is very important. Take a look at the AC for any of your examples and try to establish some symbolic correspondences between this chart and your image of the group in question. For example, all points of concentration of planetary energies (planetary stelliums and so on) in AS are very important.
Interpretations of planetsPlanets and some their meanings in ACWe are now at the point of te workwhop, where I expect you to have selected some sample groups and have done some calculations to find a date and time for AC. So now, you can find the positions of all planets and angular points (ASC, DSC, MC, IC). It makes no difference what house system you use (Placidus, Koch, Topocentric and so on) – the angular points are the same. Now we begin to analyze our AC in detail. First of all, we consider planets, their positions and, later on (see STEP 4) their aspects. Two main “planets” are the Sun and the Moon. By the way, we can check our calculations of AC by means of comparing positions of the Sun and the Moon in AC with some midpoints.A position of the Sun in AC for two people is almost the same Zodiacal point as one of two midpoints between the Suns in the charts of these two people. This is so because the speed of the Sun is almost constant in any moment of time.
It is very interesting that in the AC we get only ONE of two possible midpoints. This midpoint may be considered the most important for these two people.EXAMPLE. I take two formal dates D1 and D2 (a hypothetical group):D1 12.08.1999 GMT = 15h00m
DI tare two datesntsstem do you use (Placidus, Koch, Topocentric - cardinal all these may be used (after some reformulation, of2 25.09.2004 GMT = 12h00mYou will get this result:AC 05.03.2002 GMT = 1h30mPlease, check this AC date by direct calculations (it is a control task for the STEP 2). So we get:SUN2: 02/45 Libra
Midpoints between these Suns: 11/06 Virgo and Pisces.SUN in AC: 14/18 Pisces. You see that the Sun in AC is near the midpoint 11/06 Libra.
Just the same is true for the position of the Moon in AC and midpoints between the Moons.Example (for D1, D2 – see above).MOON1: 04/21 Virgo
MOON2: 23/35 Aquarius
Midpoints: 28/58 Scorpio and Taurus.MOON in AC: 02/02 Sagittarius. Also we can calculate positions in the AC of all other planets for our “artificial” group:MERCURY 20/00 Aquarius
VENUS 26/15 Pisces
MARS 2/26 Taurus
JUPITER 5/39 Cancer
SATURN 8/37 Gemini

Now some words about of interpretation of the planets. Below you’ll find onlysome functions and meanings of planets in AC, they give you some general approaches to AC for a group.SUN a general goal for this group, an essence of group interests. A person which is a center of this group.MOON the group’s general reactions, emotional atmosphere in this group, all group members as a whole in an everyday life.MERCURY specific ways of working with information in this group. Education, documents, letters (private and business one’s), phone calls and SMS and so on.VENUS forms of choice, general values for this group, a type of interrelations between this group as a whole and other groups.MARS some forms of actions for this group. An effort, a group’s will.

SATURN a structure, an organization of this group.

The planets Uranus, Neptune, Pluto for AC have no individual meanings - but we can use their aspects to the seven planets).

Some words about planets in the Houses – here I give now only some trivial hints (using the MAIN IDEA above):Planets in angular houses: their manifestations are very “visible”.Planets in conjunctions with Angles: they are very important for AC.For any group it is necessary to choose some SPECIAL meanings for planets (especially for Mercury and Mars) and only then it is possible to give a detailed interpretation of AC, using these special meanings. Some special remarks:For creative groups it is very good to have the Sun in an angular House. For administrative groups – consider Saturn and its position in AC. A little later we’ll investigate aspects to Saturn – it is very important for business groups.

Homework for STEP 3.1. Give an interpretation of the positions of the Sun and the Moon (in the Signs and Houses) for your group of two partners. Please do not use general terms but use those terms which are more appropriate for your special kind of group (business, sport, family etc.)

3. What do you think about the role of Mercury in AC for your groups? Can you express this role in nonastrological terms? Please, compare these expressions with real role of Mercurian
functions (information, communication and so on) for your real group. You may use descriptions of Mercury in Zodiacal signs (as in classical astrology) and, if you want, some information about aspect.4. How can you describe Martian functions for AC of your group?
What do you know about special forms of activity for these groups? It is necessary to use not only the Zodiacal placement of Mars, but also aspects to Mars.In our “artificial” group, Mars is in Taurus, so any activity of this group is very practical, it is very close to Nature (in some sense). But we have a very exact aspect (150 deg.) from the Moon to Mars. So all Martian functions (efforts etc.) have a =trong emotional component. Some details of aspects in AC will be discussed later, in the STEP 4.
