1) Members Corner
This month we have the great pleasure of welcoming the two first new members from Ukraine:
They are:
§ Sadikova Tetyana
§ Sadikova Mariya
We hope that Tetyana and Mariya will benefit from their
membership, and that everybody will offer help and support if required.
2) ISBA Congress May 2005
The congress in Amsterdam is rapidly approaching. Jump
to the end of this newsletter and read all about the exciting agenda and the cosy social arrangements
such as the canal boat tour. We will also meet for dinner on one of the many delicious restaurants
around town.
3) New literature: Robert Gover
One of our eminent congress lecturers, Robert Gover,
will also introduce his book at this congress:
Time & Money: Planetary and Economic Cycles, 350 pages with charts. Covers American astro-economic
history from Columbus and the first colony at Jamestown, Virginia, to the first two decades of
the 21st Century. Isolates planetary cycles and patterns which have repeated coincided with historic
turning points such as great depressions, wars, social upheavals.
The book can be ordered by contacting www.hopepubs.com. Publication date is May 15, 2005. I've
been reshaping and refining this book for the past decade, but this is the first time it will
be available in conventional book form.
Author: Robert Gover.
4) New articles on the ISBA web
Most of you have received two articels during April,
written by Robert Doolard, The Netherlands and Paul Nipperess, Australia. Both articles are on
the web and can be read here by new members. Remember to check out www.businessastrologers.com
frequently. New articles are usually advertised on the front page – and are available in
the Member’s Area.
5) ISBA in the Media
Within the last year we have experienced an increased interest in business astrology and financial
astrology from the media. This is obviously very good news to all in ISBA. We have even seen journalists
acknowledging our society and putting forth the opinion that we have been instrumental in establishing
a certain amount of respect within our specific areas of astrology.
We already have several requests from the press about the Amsterdam Congress, and we look forward
to telling you about the results once we see them. All ISBA Members will receive a resumé
of the Congress in June – however, we hope that you will be there and experience it for
yourself!.
6) New web
As you have probably noticed, we have a competition for designing the new ISBA logo. Over the
summer, we will introduce the logo along with a completely new and far more advanced web site,
making us look even more professional in the eyes of the public. More information in the months
to come.
If any of you have ideas for the web site, or subjects you would like to see promoted here, please
do not hesitate to send your suggestions. They are most gratefully received!
Best wishes,
Karen & Hannah

consultant for the last 16 years. In early 1997, Karen Boesen founded the International Society
of Business Astrologers (ISBA). The members of the organisation are business and financial astrologers

contributions to the analytical process.

Faye has completed an MA degree in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology at Bath Spa University. Her
dissertation suggested a model for company life cycles and compared it to other business models.

Faye has advised business and private clients in her practice in Amsterdam. She has a successful
business background in consultancy and management and is also a trained therapist.

astrology in Los Angeles in the mid-1960s, taking a variety of courses from individual mentors
and the Church of Light. With a BA in economics from the University of Pittsburgh, Robert gravitated
naturally to, first, stock market astrology, and then to years of searchng for astro-economic
indicators pertaining to the overall economic condition of the USA, and the USA's role in the
community of nations, and/or the world economy. Robert's "day job" is mentoring aspiring
novelists. His first novel became a worldwide bestseller when he was 30 years old, and he went
on to publish six others. His most famous, One Hundred Dollar Misunderstanding, continues to sell
briskly 40-some years after it first made a splash in its French edition. He has also published
