6 6th ISBA Congress, Copenhagen 20- 21st  June 2008
We are currently planning the 6th ISBA Congress, which will take place in Copenhagen on 20-21st June 2008.
The Congress will cover a mixture of interesting topics on both Financial and Business Astrology. The speakers are – as always – professional and experienced astrologers in their respective fields. The programme is taking form and will be complete during the first month of the New Year and will be presented in March 2007 in connection with the 10th anniversary of ISBA.

We have selected the location – the Hotel Phoenix in the heart of Copenhagen only 12 minutes by taxi from the Airport and only few minutes by taxi from the Central Train Station.

If you have any questions to the ISBA Congress, please do not hesitate to contacting me on email: jeannie.mathiasen@gmail.com

We are looking forward to welcoming you all in Copenhagen in 2008.

7 Astro Bar Helsinki – by Maarit Laurento, Finland
Welcome to the astrological analysis bar which was opened in Helsinki on a Jupiter day during early Sagittarius time, the opening party was on Thursday, the 30 th of November 2006. The opening party gathered over forty people and was full of laughter and rich in atmosphere. Neptunia, a good friend of mine, had made an astro-sudoku for guests and clients alike. In the end of December one who has solved the sudoku will win a carpe diem  bar analysis. For the public the doors were opened on a Venus day, Friday the 1st of December.

Astro Bar Helsinki is an astrological bar where people can pop in for an astrological analysis even without an appointment, for example on their lunch hour or after work. Astro Bar Menu includes as appetizers bar analyses (on the spot) and as main courses other analyses (by appointment). We are open from Wednesday to Saturday every afternoon. In Astro Bar Helsinki you will also find Astro Bar Gallery with different astrological exhibitions like:

• The horoscope sign of the month
• The first Finnish astrologer and priest Sigfridus Aronus Forsius (1560-1624)
• The astrological clock,

just to name a few. Astro Bar Gift Shop has many delightful astrological gift ideas for birthdays – and just for personal fun.Jupiter is an important part of our idea. We moved from downtown where the building across the street had a text Saturn above its entrance. Saturn was with us in many other ways as well, for example the office was located on the uppermost floor (=the 10 th house=Saturn).  We are now in a place which could best be described by Jupiter. The inner yard of this block is the biggest in Helsinki - in fact it is the biggest in the Northern Europe (you'll find it easily with Google Earth). Our rooms are thirteen feet high and the place itself with its large windows gives an impression of spaciousness. Astro Bar Helsinki is also designed for tourists (=Jupiter, Sagittarius). And, of course our final goal is to have twelve bars around the world (sic!).
Astro Bar Helsinki is located in Somero Road which is an excellent address for us. As some of you know, in summertime we run Villa Tauro, our astrological theme park which is located in a town called Somero, in western part of Finland. People drive there along a road called Helsinki Road. Hence it is more than fitting to have Astro Bar in Helsinki on Somero Road. At the same time it is a perfect window for Villa Tauro in Helsinki. Namely, one of the exhibitions is about Villa Tauro. And in fact, we adopted the Villa Tauro concept in Astro Bar Helsinki.

Now there are only ten more astrological bars to be constructed. Villa Tauro is a Taurus place and Astro Bar is an Aquarian (it will turn ten years in February). Karen, don't you think that the Capricorn Chamber should be located in Copenhagen since ISBA's head quarters and the astrological museum are there? The Gemini Room should be run in New York or in Amsterdam –  or perhaps in both places since Gemini is a double sign, right Faye Cossar? How about the Leo Pavilion in royal Norway, Christa Hensel? The Pisces Garden would be best located in Australia (= Down Under, Oceania) or what do you think, Paul yogi Nipperess? The Cancer Residence would be perfect in the womb of astrology's history, Greece, or perhaps somewhere in Italy or Spain. Bill Meridian, shouldn't there be a Sagittarius place in Saudi Arabia? Maybe the astrological restaurants in London and in Vienna will also join the net (I have visited both but do not know personally the owners), or what do you think Manfred Zimmel? So, there will be no time to be bored in the years to come, right?

Visit us and have a cup of coffee and an astrological analysis. We're easy to find. Just take a tram from downtown, and you will also experience "sporanomy" (spora=tram). Tram number eight is a Scorpio Line since its route resembles the Scorpio constellation, tram number six is a Virgo Line, tram number seven an Ophiuchus Line and tram number one a Capricorn Line. All these trams take you to Astro Bar Helsinki. Mind you that if the trams sometimes were a little bit early or late, it of course would be because of precession (sic!).

8 The ISBA Lilly 2006
In keeping with tradition, we give away the ISBA Lilly for 2006. The ISBA Lilly is an acknowlegdement and a tribute to Business or Financial Astrologers, who have done a remarkable contribution for our business. This years price winners are:

Maarit Laurento, Finland

Claus Houlberg, Denmark

Maarit Laurento receives the price for her tireless efforts to promote Astrology, externally. Latest via the opening of her new astrological service in the centre of Helsinki. Please see the above article.

Claus Houlberg is an Associated Member of ISBA and is as such not dedicated to Business Astrology. None the less, we think he deserves an acknowledgement for the dedicated and thorough work he has done in connection with the research of Danish Astrologer’s Roots, which he has presented in the publication ”Cornelius”. The publication will also be available in English, during 2007, on website: www.astrologihuset.dk

Congratulations to both of you. We are very proud of you!
Finally, we would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year. We hope 2007 will enrich us with many good astrological experiences.
We can mention that ISBA celebrates its 10-year-anniversary in 2007. Amazing, how time fly.

Kind Regards,

Karen & Jeannie
