COMMENT: This is an extremely abbreviated—and extremely
tardy—issue of this newsletter. Thanks to some major computer problems, I was unable
to get the issue ready for the usual weekly deadline. Nor was I able to communicate by email;
the system crash took that out as well, and at this point I’ve only got a parallel (but
not fully redundant) system functioning.
Several of the key analysis tools that I use in the production of this newsletter are still
be reassembled and reactivated, but with a little bit of effort and a lot of luck I should
have everything up and running in time for next week’s issue. In the meantime, please
accept my apologies for the interruption and inconvenience. Thanks as well for your patience!

THE WEEK AHEAD IN EARNINGS
This week we will be watching for earnings announcements from Campbell Soup (CPB), Medtronic
Inc. (MDT), Lowes Companies (LOW), Nordstrom (JWN), and Patterson Dental (PDCO).
THE ECONOMIC CALENDAR
Because of the Thanksgiving holiday we have a slow week ahead for economic news, but we’ll
be looking for reports on the Leading Indicators, ICSC-UBS Store Sales, the State Street Investor
Confidence Index, MBA Purchase Applications, the EIA Petroleum Status Report, the EIA Natural
Gas Report, Jobless Claims, Consumer Sentiment, and the Money Supply.
ASTROLOGICAL DYNAMICS
With a Uranus station and a New Moon kicking off the trading week and the Sun and Jupiter
both moving into Sagittarius, we have the makings for a very active and positive week in stocks.
There’s a holiday toward the end of the week, however, so we may not experience the
full planetary impact that we might otherwise expect. We also need to keep in mind the Mars/Saturn
square that will impact market action just before the month’s close; this could very
well put a damper on an bullish market scenario.
Throughout this week we will be tracking geocentric fourth-harmonic planetary lines (G,90,N,-2)
for the Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Poseidon, using the Fibonacci/Galactic
Trader software from P.A.S. to follow the active planetary support and resistance in real
time.
Have a great week!

SPIRITUAL FOCUS FOR THE WEEK
Many of history's most successful traders have clearly understood that emotional equilibrium
is the key to effective trading. Through Practical Spiritual Astrology we have an opportunity
to restore inner harmony, enhance emotional balance, and make wiser choices in the markets.
<!--[if !supportLineBreakNewLine]-->
<!--[endif]-->
Right now we would very much like to regain some clarity in our awareness, some fresh wave
of refinement that will help us hear the unheard voices that surround us and see the subtleties
of our environment with more loving sensibilities. Yet while that desire is so powerfully
strong within our hearts, we must nevertheless be temporarily content with limited vision
and muffled hearing. We are just beginning to discover our spiritual wholeness, so we can
only imagine what it will be like to have our lives completely absorbed in divine expression.
But we shouldn’t complain about our need for imagination; it is actually a key step
toward awakening the intuition that will bring us even greater rewards!
"All progress is based upon a universal innate desire on the part of every organism to
live beyond its income." --Samuel Butler

STOCKS TO WATCH: GM, OPSW, SOHU.
Potential Candidates for Short-Term Trades
<!--[if !supportLineBreakNewLine]-->
<!--[endif]-->
General Motors Corporation (GM)
NYSE; optionable
First Trade Date: 12/20/1916; 10:00 a.m.
It’s no secret that General Motors is in serious trouble, but right now this venerable
stock offers an interesting opportunity. With transiting Jupiter ready to cross the First-Trade
Midheaven, bolstered by transiting Neptune conjoining First-Trade Uranus and the transiting
True Lunar Node conjoining First-Trade Chiron, GM could prove to be a surprising value for
a short-term trade, even though a good bit of caution will be called for after the Jupiter
transit has run its course. Our plan is to add a long position in GM to the Model Portfolio
late I the trading week; our initial stop will be set at 29.00.
Opsware Inc. (OPSW)
NASDAQ
First Trade Date: 03/09/2001]; 09:30 a.m.
With transiting Saturn square First-Trade Saturn, this stock may see a bit of a price pullback
during coming trading sessions. Even so, with transiting Jupiter conjoining the First-Trade
Descendant and transiting Venus getting ready to connect with First-Trade Mars and First-Trade
Pluto as the True Lunar Node conjoins the First-Trade Sun, there’s good reason to consider
a long position. If the price backs off a bit from its current levels we will add a long position
at the end of the trading week, with an initial stop set at 8.50.
Sohu.Com Inc. (SOHU)
NASDAQ
First Trade Date: 07/12/2000; 09:30 a.m.
Transiting Chiron conjoining First-Trade Neptune has accelerated the speculative energy behind
this holder of Chinese-language web properties; with transiting Jupiter on its way to conjoin
the First-Trade IC, the First-Trade Moon, and First-Trade Pluto, we wouldn’t be surprised
to see even higher prices ahead. We will add a long position before the end of the trading
week, with an initial stop set at 24.00.
